Vacancy: BB 2 – Acquisitions Assistant
Applications are invited for the above position in the National Library of the Australian Embassy, Jakarta. The position is a full time position with an immediate commencement date required.

A starting salary of IDR.3,817,196 will be offered to the successful applicant dependent upon qualifications, relevant experience and demonstrated skill.

- Ensure all incoming serial and newspaper issues are accurately sorted and collated for dispatch to the National Library and Indonesian Acquisition Program institutions.
- Maintain accurate accession records of incoming serials and newspapers.
- Ensure serial and newspaper subscriptions are renewed, payments processed, and claims for missing issues are made as required.
- Pack and box library materials for dispatch to the National Library and Indonesian Acquisition Program participants (some lifting required).
- Prepare accurate checklists of dispatched materials.
- Prepare documentation for the processing and airfreight of consignments to the National Library.
- Maintain register of serial suppliers and publishers.
- Conduct visits to local publishers, government departments and agencies to collect materials as required.
- Liaise with serial and book suppliers, publishers, NGO’s and Indonesian Government departments and agencies to facilitate the acquisition of publications as required.
- Provide general assistance to the NLA Regional Office as required.

Qualifications:
Selection Criteria
- Ability to organise work, determine priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks associated with this position.
- Good interpersonal skills including confidence, common sense, reliability, initiative and the capacity to liaise with people at all levels.
- Good level of written and oral Bahasa Indonesia and basic competency in English.
